With the charging of its blast furnaces in 1952, Fairless Works was the most modern and efficient steel mill in America, and the largest one ever built all at once. Northpoint Development intends to recharge this historic site as an economic driver for the 21st century with substantial environmental remediation, creation of up to 5,000 new jobs and an investment of over $1.5 billion dollars.
